Easy Italian Side Salad
There’s a little Italian restaurant in our neighborhood that always brings a side salad when you order a special. It’s nothing fancy, but it’s always so good . This salad is my easy, at-home version of that classic restaurant side. Subscribe for more recipes like this :)
Easy Italian Side Salad
Serves: 4–6
Prep Time: 10 minutes
Ingredients
• 1 large head romaine lettuce, chopped
• 1 cup cherry tomatoes, halved
• ½ cup shredded carrots
• ¼ small red onion, very thinly sliced
• ¼ cup freshly grated or shaved Parmesan cheese
• Italian dressing (homemade or store bought)
• Freshly cracked black pepper (optional)
Instructions
1. Add the chopped romaine to a large salad bowl.
2. Top with cherry tomatoes, shredded carrots, and sliced red onion.
3. Sprinkle Parmesan cheese over the salad.
4. Drizzle with Italian dressing just before serving and toss gently to coat.
5. Finish with freshly cracked black pepper.
Tips
• I like to add croutons for extra crunch
• If making ahead, keep the dressing separate and toss right before serving.
• This salad pairs perfectly with pasta, chicken, or a cozy Sunday dinner.
