Growing up watching Food Network, I developed a love for a few chefs and Ina Garten became one of my absolute favorites. Like so many others, I was drawn to her approachable style and the way she makes even the simplest meals feel special. My grandmas style of cooking was very similar to Inas so I think that’s why I was drawn to her. Her recipes are straightforward, use ingredients I almost always have on hand, and they always work. They’re also kid-approved in our house, which is a huge win!
Here are some of our all-time favorite Ina recipes:
Creamy Chicken Thighs with Lemon and Thyme
This dish could not be easier to make and it’s a total showstopper. It’s one of those recipes that comes to mind immediately whenever I want to make something from Ina. It’s budget-friendly (thanks to chicken thighs) but tastes like something you'd get at a restaurant. I actually made it the other night, walked to my mom’s after dinner—and she had made the exact same thing. We’re both obsessed!
Meatloaf
I know people can be weird about meatloaf, but we love it. Ina’s is the only recipe I ever use. It’s classic, comforting, and comes out perfect every time.
Mac and Cheese
My kids are obsessed with mac and cheese, and this is the only recipe I’ve ever used. It’s rich, cheesy, and completely indulgent in the best way.
Engagement Roast Chicken
This is such a classic. Everything cooks in one big roasting pan, which makes cleanup a breeze. It’s cozy, flavorful, and the name says it all!
Chicken Chili
I’ve been making this one for years and might even like it more than traditional beef chili. It’s a great twist on a classic, and perfect for parties with all the toppings laid out. Everyone loves this one.
Lemon Chicken Breasts
Like most of Ina’s recipes, this dish is super simple but packed with flavor. It goes well with just about anything, and we’re all completely obsessed with it.

I made her roast chicken with spring vegetables because of you and think it’s pretty amazing
