We went to Dutch Wonderland and the Cartoon Network Hotel last week, and so many of you were asking for a recap and recommendations, so here it is! We’ve been to Dutch Wonderland a few times now and love it every time. It’s definitely geared more toward younger kids. My 10, 6, 4, and 1-year-old had the absolute best time. Even though my older kids had fun taking the little ones on rides, at this stage they’d definitely prefer Hershey Park.
This time, we stayed at the Cartoon Network Hotel, which is connected to the park. We parked at the hotel, swam for a bit, and then walked right over to Dutch Wonderland. It made things so easy and stress-free. In the past, we’ve also stayed at the Eden Resort, which I’d still highly recommend.
The next day we planned to visit Amish Village, but it didn’t work out for us. It was $40 per person for the tour, and there were 11 of us, so we decided to skip it. Instead, we went to The Kitchen Kettle Village and I cannot recommend this place enough. It was so cute with lots of shops, places to eat, and even a little goat farm.
We’ve also done The Turkey Hill Experience a few times in the past, and that’s a must-see for young ones.
Before the trip, I put up a suggestion box on Instagram asking for things to do near Dutch Wonderland, and you guys came through. We followed a few of your recommendations and ended up having the best time. Thank you for always sharing your favorites with us!
