The Cutest Girls’ Night Idea You Haven’t Tried Yet
Hiii! 7kidskitchen’s sister here again! This post doesn’t have much to do with food, so if that’s not your thing, I totally get it. BUT if you’re looking for a fun girls’ night idea, you’re in the right place!!!
About a month ago, I was scrolling on TikTok and came across this girl who threw a farmers market in her apartment. She made a cute sign, set up a table, and had each of her friends create one product times the number of people coming. Then everyone set up their items, and they got to shop like it was a real farmers market!
So of course, my friends and I had to try it too! We made a sign, set up on our TV console, and got to being crafty!
So here is our set up:
Howwwww cute but I really wished we hid our WiFi router it’s ruining the cozy vibe 😂😂
This was the perfect activity because me and my girl friends have a craft club where we try to get together as often as possible to do crafts and chat. We were very excited when we saw this idea and knew we had to do it. We have been getting together since January and don’t plan on stopping soon! If you want to see some other craft nights we have done I will write a whole post on that if you guys need ideas!
PSA: this one took effort from everyone and was a little stressful but it was so fun when it all came together.
Proof of stress:
All the crafting was done before the girls’ night even started so once everyone showed up the stress was gone!
Okay anyways, I was searching through Pinterest to come up with a good idea because I’m not particularly crafty at all. Most of us aren’t we just have fun doing it and it gives us an excuse to hang out and drink some wine 🍷
I went with cupcakes in a jar because I have been obsessed with baking cakes lately. I always watch cake decorating videos on TikTok so I’ve been really into them! I made red velvet cupcakes and cream cheese icing! I just baked the cupcakes and after letting them sit cut them up and started layering my jars! The last layer I did was frosting and I sprinkled some of the leftover cupcakes on top to make them look cuter! I was really excited with how they turned out!
Here’s the side view not the best but they tasted good! I’m actually eating the leftovers as I write this 😂
Okay next up my cousin Margo made lavender soy wax candles and put them in the cutest glasses. I am obsessed and can’t wait to use it!
They are just perfect.
Here’s how she did it: First she melted the wax using a double boiler. Once the wax reached 180 degrees, she removed from heat. She added the essential oil and stirred it in. Then she poured the wax into the wine glasses with the candle wick in place!
Next up, my childhood friend Willow made us homemade pasta. She went all out!
The directions, the packaging, the effort!!!! A+++
I asked everyone to share what they did so here is her story on how the pumpkin spizzulus came to be:
Starting a pasta business means lots of experimenting, and I love getting real feedback along the way. I just finished setting up my pasta prep kitchen in my family’s basement and wanted to break it in with something seasonal and meant to be shared. These pumpkin spizzulus are made from a semolina dough infused with roasted pumpkin, garlic, nutmeg, and cayenne, which to me is fall in pasta form. I froze and boxed them up so my friends could cook them themselves, the same way you’d grab something from a local market. It felt like the right way to kick off autumn: small batch, handmade, and shared with people I love!
Everyone go follow her @thedoughdate
She is so passionate about pasta and is starting to do pasta cooking classes for all different kinds of celebrations! If you are based in or around NYC you should def check it out! (I’ve done her classes and they are so fun, entertaining, and delicious)
Okay next up my best fried Emily made the cutest raspberry jams with muffins
We are roommates and when she was starting the jam she was very nervous and intimidated haha. It came together so easily! She said she just went on tiktok and watched jam making videos. She used rasberries lemon and sugar and it came out so delicious.
Before making the muffins she was planning on making scones. She has made scones a couple times recently and each time they have been delicious and so cute. I’ll insert a pic here:
Wellll something went terribly wrong the morning of the farmers market and her scones came out looking like this:
Hahahahah so she threw away the scone idea and went with muffins instead. She also made everyone their own ghost magnet!
Love them!
My friend Molly also made Jam and followed this recipe! jam recipe
I haven’t tried it yet but it looks and smells delicious! The best part about all these gifts is that I know have a new collection of fun jars.
Okayyy next up my bff Theresa made really cute Halloween hot chocolate kits. Here’s a link if you want to make something similar. hot chocolate jar
Theresa absolutely LOVES Halloween so it was really on brand for her to bring a Halloween themed treat and look how cute they came out!
I’m so excited to try this as soon as we get a cold day in NY!
Last but certainly not least my friend Bridget brought a coffee syrup. She lives right below me and makes the best salted maple syrup latte = amazing combo!
She even recently went back to her hometown and did a pop up coffee shop with her sister and sold free coffee! So cool and I hope she keeps doing pop up coffee shops!
Also, another great jar!
Here’s how she did it: Honey Vanilla Bean Coffee Syrup
One cup Water
One cup Honey
boil on medium heat until honey mixes with the water
Add 1-2tbsp of vanilla bean paste and stir well.
That’s all for the farmers market! If you have any questions or would want to hear more let me know! I know you all follow the account for dinner tips but I really loved this idea and wanted to share :)
